The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G6 came out in 2013. Panasonic put Wi-Fi on a stills body that already had an OLED EVF. Same Micro Four Thirds mount as the G5. I import these as stills cameras.
The G5 already had the finder. On the G6 I pull JPEGs to the phone when I have left the card reader behind. I still take the photograph looking through the eyepiece. The mount is the same.
Yahoo treats Wi-Fi like a personality. One seller leads with 1080p AVCHD and camcorder. The next writes NFC, 2013 gadget, and never shows a still. I opened both this year. Same G bayonet. I use it for stills.
I stood on a footpath last month with a G6. I took the photograph. Later I dumped the files over Wi-Fi because the card reader was in the other bag. The AVCHD line on the listing did not change the walk.
I bid ¥12,800 on a Japan body. That looks like $115. Proxy, EMS, 10% GST, DHL processing. Landed around $255. A local copy wanted $449 and sold the Wi-Fi.
I torch the EVF and fold the hinge out in the shots. A dead 2013 finder here costs more than the camera. Battery is a DMW-BLC12. Original cells sag. I price a new one in AUD before I bid.
